How to create pairings
On the tournament screen, navigate to the "PAIRINGS" tab.
Click on "SETTINGS" to access the Pairings Settings menu.
In the Pairings Settings menu, locate and click "Create Pairing".
On the subsequent Create Pairing overlay, use the drag-and-drop functionality to arrange the pairing steps tailored to your tournament's unique requirements.
The available pairing steps available are:
Battle Points: Total of submitted Battle Points.
Win Path: Win Path of a player in a tournament, early losses are more impactful than later losses.
Record (Count of Wins, Draws, Losses): Amount of wins, ties, and losses of a player independent of the round in which they occurred.
Strength of Schedule (Opponent Wins): Strength of players' opponents measured by total wins.
Strength of Schedule (Opponent Win-rate): Strength of players' opponents measured by win-rate.
External Ranking: Group players based on external rating. External ratings can be added per player on the Edit Player Overlay, for example by providing the players' current rank in a league or ranking. The players will be divided into two groups, with higher and lower ratings in the other. If no external rating is given to a player, it is counted as the worst possible rating.
Pair between Groups: This feature creates pairings by randomly selecting two players from different groups, starting with the top two groups. You can also use External Ratings alongside this to match players between rating groups instead of within the same group.
Once you've chosen your pairing metrics, you have two options: save the pairing settings or immediately save and create the pairings for the round.
Create pairings by hand
If you want to set up pairings for your tournament yourself, just go to the pairing card and click on "Edit" > "Change pairing" On the next screen, you can manually pair players and/or assign them to specific tables.
